OREGON TAXPAYERS: CLAIM YOUR TAX CREDIT!

Oregon taxpayers receive up to $50 ($100 for joint filers) to make a political contribution to organizations like Law Enforcement for Responsible Public Safety.

HOW THE CREDIT WORKS:

Oregon's unique Political Tax Credit allows all taxpayers making under $75,000 (or under $150,000 for joint-filing couples) to claim a tax credit for political contributions like this one, up to $50 per year (or $100 per year for joint-filing couples).

This is not simply a deduction, it is a full dollar-to-dollar match against your tax liability for donations within those amounts.

To qualify, you must:

  • Be an Oregon resident,

  • Submit an Oregon tax return for 2022, AND

  • Make less than $75,000 in 2022 (or $150,000 for joint-filing couples)

If you qualify, simply make your contribution today, and then when you file your 2022 taxes, enter the amount you give as your Political Contribution Credit like this (your tax form may look different)
